Shameless Plug: Watch This Trailer For 'Coffin' Or I'll Kill You

Your studio apartment doesn't seem so small anymore, does it? When you're dealing with a film about someon buried underground, you'd expect that comparisons to last year's Buried would abound. Well what you expect is wrong, so shut up about it. Coffin doesn't take place entirely underground, but rather features a more familiar "ticking clock" scenario in which the protagonist has 75 minutes to get his wife out of the coffin before the air runs out and she dies. The studio sums the premise up thusly:
A masked stranger reveals to Jack that his estranged wife and her lover are buried underground in a wooden box and their oxygen will run out in 75 minutes. He must engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the masked stranger in order to save his wife...and himself.
Coffin stars Kevin Sorbo, Bruce Davison, Johnny Alonso, Patrick Barnitt, Sunny Doench, Moksha McPherrin, Candace Kita, Andrena Senola, Johnson Barnett and Luke Barnett. In the interest of full disclosure, it was written, produced, and co-directed by Kipp Tribble, who has written for Screen Junkies in the past, but has moved on and left the rest of us here to rot in the bowels of the Internet. Thanks, Kipp.

'Buried' International Trailer

The new international trailer for Buried may cause claustrophobia and an overall icky feeling. It shows much more than the previous trailer, which could be a good or bad thing depending on you feel about being buried in a coffin six feet under ground. Considering that's a personal nightmare of mine...I loved it! Any trailer that makes me piss myself must be doing something right. The story follows a private contractor (Ryan Reynolds) who is kidnapped in Iraq and buried with only a phone and a lighter. He has 90 minutes to solve how the eff to get out before he dies. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this film at Fantastic Fest later this month, as everyone who had the opportunity to screen it at this past Sundance raved about it, in between their taunts of, "Ooooh, look at me. I'm at Sundance." Sorry, but SOME of us can't tolerate thin air! Watch Ryan Reynolds get buried below below... Buried International Trailer - Watch more Funny Videos

This Film of 20 Strangers Kissing For The First Time Is Magical

As cliched as it sounds, watching strangers make out for the first time, for art, really is a thing of beauty... For her short film First Kiss, artist Tatia Pilieva gathered 20 strangers together and pretty much said  "hey you just met and you probably already don't remember this person's name, but make out in this studio, in front of my camera, OK? Great." It's just as awkward and uncomfortable to watch as it sounds...until it's not. Maybe it's the sweet song or the beautiful photography, or the fact that most of these people are really quite attractive (they are actors, after all), or  perhaps it's witnessing a human connection that's both physical and emotional, risky and strangely fragile blah blah blah—whatever it is, the result is, as cliched as it sounds, beautiful and surprisingly touching. Watch it, even a cynic like me will understand why it's gone crazy viral, reaching 7.5 million views (and counting) in just one day...

Run, Clooney, Run: First Clip From ‘The Descendants’

Remember how angry Paul Giamatti got about Merlot in 'Sideways'? Now it's time for a new celebrity to freak out in a new Alexander Payne movie: Mr. George Clooney. Remember how angr Paul Giamatti got about Merlot in Sideways? Now it's time for a new celebrity to freak out in a new Alexander Payne movie. Normally not-running George Clooney: time to run as fast and as awkwardly as you can. The above link is a teaser clip from The Descendants, directed by Payne, based on a novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings. The film is about an indifferent Hawaiian lawyer and father whose wife gets into a bad boating accident, causing him to take a hard look at his life. It also causes him to randomly run into people's houses and ask short questions like, "who is he," "what's going on here," and "wait a second... who am I?" Okay, that last part I'm just inferring from the clip. Ya got me. The Descendents flip-flops into theaters December 16th and also stars Judy Greer, Matthew Lilliard and Beau Bridges.

'The Robber' May Contain Trace Amounts Of 'Run Lola Run'

This Austrian film looks a bit like a great German film, in a very good way. Any movie with a character named Pumpgun Ronnie has to be pretty good, right? Of course it does. And the trailer for the German-language film The Robber proves that point. Having gotten scooped up off the festival circuit, it's being remade for in English with Andrew Garfield starring, but the original version, which is primed for a small US release, seems to foot the bill just fine in a Run Lola Run-type of way. The film, which is based on a true story, follows the madcap hijinks of Johann Rettenberger, who was an Austrian amateur marathon runner who would rob banks, then escape using his long-distance running skills. Hokey as fiction, but pretty swee knowing that it actually happened. Enjoy the original before they put a bunch of Alex Pettyfer and Twitter in the American remake. The original German-language version hits the sweet land of liberty April 29th.

'Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa' Trailer Is Way Funnier Than You'd Expect

'Murica. Realizing that Johnny Knoxville likely won't survive to the age of 86, the minds behind Jackass have decided to fast-track Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. The first trailer is here and it's far more hilarious than you'd expect. They've switched up the format slightly to borrow a page from Borat. The film tells what seems like a longer narrative starring Knoxville as an old man escorting his grandson across the country while behaving badly in front of Joe Schmoe Q. Public. Watch for yourself and decide whether this is the best or the best. And call your grandpa for Christ's sake.

Good Luck Making Sense Of This Cryptic J.J. Abrams Teaser For...Something

Huh? Zuh? Kwuh? It's called "Stranger," but if we have learned anything about J.J. Abrams thus far, it's that he won't give us anything of consequence this early out. It's intriguing, if only because Abrams is behind it. Also, the sparseness of the trailer plays to the creepiness at the end, but other than that...let's wait until we get a little more direction before we form opinions. Just kidding. This is the internet. Let's go apeshit with speculation.

'Divorce Court' Husband Accuses Wife Of Sleeping With The Entire Wu Tang Clan

In the case of 'Is The Wu Tang Something To Fuk Wit?' Recently on Divorce Court, a man accused his wife of cheating on him with the entire Wu Tang Clan. His claim is somewhat grounded in reality, as she did go backstage at a Wu Tang concert, then on their bus, and then back to their hotel where she stayed until 7am... "talking about politics." And we're to believe she didn't get a craving for Oreo's? It's hard to pick a side in this case. On the one hand, no one really knows what happened that night and it is possible she found the Wu-Tang Clan to be something to fuk wit. But I doubt she slept with the entire Wu Tang Clan. What are the odds that the entire Wu Tang Clan even showed up to one of their concerts?
