See A New Russian ‘X-Men: First Class’ Trailer, Tovarisch

As we get nearer and nearer to the first day of X-Men: First Class, picking over every trailer and TV spot for new information will become a summer pastime, like drinking ice cold limeade and playing tether ball, or whatever it is that people do. So why not get a taste of that sweet summertime action now, with this Russian trailer? It has a lot of new footage that wasn’t in the previous American one – for instance, you can see the character of Banshee, as played by Caleb Landry, using his mutant “sonic scream,” which is cool. And you can maybe learn a little Russian. This is what we in the industry refer to as a “win-win.” (via The Playlist)

It’s interesting, because in the title cards they write “Professor X,” but then the title of the movie at the end is given as “Ljudi Iks,” “iks” being the way you would write “X” in Russian (and “ljudi” being the word for “people,”) because the letter that looks like English X in Russian is actually “kha.” Crazy!
