'Parks And Rec's Ben Wyatt Gets Pretty Excited About The 'Game Of Thrones' Throne

The headline is a bit of an understatement. In case you didn't know much about Adam Scott's Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, here's a rundown: He's a nerd. *End of Rundown* He really likes Game of Thrones, claymation, comic book characters, and Letters to Cleo. I guess on some level, we all do, but he takes it to a new level. If you are in doubt, check out this clip in which Leslie presents Ben with a pretty awesome gift. (She sure does have some serious reach for a small-town bureaucrat.) Ten bucks says Andy cuts himself on one of the throne swords.

You Want 'Parks And Rec' Film Reviews From Perd Hapley? You Got 'Em Right Here.

MY SIDES! THEY HURT! Not from laughter, mind you, but worsening pancreatitis. This Parks and Recreation blooper reel from last season is pretty much pure gold. Not "pure gold" in the sense that you could make a watch out of it, or horde it when the Syrians overthrow our government, but pure gold in the sense that, if you like Parks and Rec, you'll really enjoy the humor of these ridiculously likable characters and actors. Peep the very beginning at least when Chris Pratt tries to talk like an old person. And then stay for Perd Hapley.

Get Pumped For 'The Mountain And The Viper' With This 'Game Of Thrones' Recap

The Ass-Handing In King's Landing is this weekend. It's been a season full of jaw-dropping moments on Game of Thrones and the next episode looks like it will not disappoint in this regard. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff tease that when Oberyn Martell takes on The Mountain in the upcoming Ass-Handing In King's Landing, it will be the show's best combat sequence. "It’s the culmination of 20 years of anger and hatred and thirst for vengeance coming to a head in this amazing set piece that [stunt coordinator Paul Herbert and swordmaster C.C. Smiff] have put together. The fight delivers beyond our expectations.” In other words, lots of kicking and flipping.

Thank The Lord For This 25-Minute "Game Of Thrones' Recap Video

Something about the complex nature of Game of Thrones plus an inability to comprehend much of anything on Sunday nights has left many with no idea what's going on heading into the GoT premiere this weekend. Lots of stuff going on. Stuff that I can't spoil, but this video sure can. So take a look (a 25-minute look, but that's still better than re-watching the series because you were on your iPad the whole time it aired) and get up to speed for the big premiere. Historically the show doesn't show much mercy to those who can't keep up, so use everything at your disposal.

'Game Of Thrones'. Season 5. Trailer. Here. Now.

Ok. I'm ready for the premiere now. In *sigh* two and a half months. To the delight of millions of fans throughout the world, the Game of Thrones season 5 trailer has been released, like so many beautiful doves, into the wild. It came before the IMAX presentation of its episodes, and was pretty clearly shot with a fan's camera. Still, it's worth checking out if you're a fan. I don't really feel like discussing the plot points here, but I will direct you to this Variety page where they run through every bit of imagery there is. Me? I prefer to just let it wash over me. Mostly because I can't remember the fate of about 90% of the characters, but also because the trailer is pretty cool with that David Bowie cover. WATCH IT.

'Parks And Recreaction' Season Six Trailer: May Contain A Non-Schlubby Chris Pratt

The last best hope for network television: 'Parks and Rec' Pawnee's apparently well-funded parks department is headed to London. Ron Swanson looks nonplussed. Leslie is excited. Chris Pratt is dumb and thin now. Ben Wyatt still can't believe he has to deal with this stuff. Stonehenge. A gold shovel. The Michael J. Fox Show. These are the things contained in the trailer for the upcoming Parks and Rec premiere, September 26th.
