NBC Goes To Hell: 'Constantine' Trailer

I mean that in a good way. NBC really like Medium but alas the show didn't have enough fire tornadoes and had to be put out to pasture. Now the network has found a new guy who can not only talk to ghosts but also totally explode them. Based on the successful comic series, Constantine stars Matt Ryan as the man without a soul who can see the world for it it truly is -- filled with gross bugs and tar-barfing Nanas. It's said to be a pretty faithful adaptation of the book so they don't be surprised when its canceled.

Break Out the Bugs and Rotten Meat: David Lynch Wants You to Make a Music Video

All entries will be judged by Lynch himself, and the winner will receive a box of doll heads covered in fire ants...probably. For more information, watch the video. Are you a David Lynch fan? Well, do you at least pretend to be a David Lynch fan? Good enough, because the eccentric director is asking fans to create music videos for his two new pop songs, "Good Day Today" and "I Know." I'm assuming the original plan was to film a pile of goat meat rotting in the sun, but there were complaints from his condo association. All entries will be judged by Lynch himself, and the winner will receive a box of doll heads covered in fire ants...probably. For more information, watch the video, or visit genero.tv. (MovieLine)

'Sucker Punch' Has Used Another Medium To Confuse Us - Animation

The team behind Sucker Punch has turned confusing audiences into an art. I'm not even mad at Sucker Punch anymore. Now, I'm just impressed with how confusing they have been able to make their marketing campaign. It's an art, really. Not content merely offering trailers that trigger epileptic seizures, the team has now moved on to animated shorts (3 min) that don't offer a single word of dialogue or the slightest clue of what's going on. There's a guy in a mask. He gets shot by something resembling a steampunk ED-209 from Robocop. The guy in the mask dies, and sexy girls walk toward the camera. If you claim to glean more than that from this clip, you're a horrible liar, and you should be ashamed of yourself. (Coming Soon)

NBC Did Something Right Thanks To The Arcade Fire

They did it on purpose too! Well, this was unexpected. NBC agreed to air something awesome. Of course, they waited until 1am Saturday night/Sunday morning but still... something awesome was broadcast to the nation on the National Broadcast Company. After appearing as the musical guest on the season premiere of SNL, Arcade Fire made things weird by launching into their own after-show concert special. Directed by Roman Coppola, the style of the special was made to ape the crap that followed SNL in the early 1980's. Look out for cameos from James Franco, Rainn Wilson, Bono, Ben Stiller, Michael Cera, Bill Hader, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Schwartzman, Eric Wareheim, and Aziz Ansari. More of this please, NBC. Please fill your late night programming with gonzo stuff.

Pick All The Bugs You Can Out Of The Trailer For 'Chimpanzee'

This chimp's gonna be a star! Another Earth Day, another documentary from Disneynature - this year it's one entitled African Cats. But you're not interested in cats, are you? No, chimpanzees are way more interesting animals - well, you're in luck! Attached to African Cats is a trailer for next year's Disneynature documentary, Chimpanzee. It's about a three-year-old Chimp named "Oscar" due to his grouchy disposition and proclivity for taking shelter in garbage cans. The release date, of course, is Earth Day 2012, also known as End of Earth Day. I gotta say, if the world's going to end, I don't think I want to spend it watching a documentary about an adopted chimp. I think I'll watch Terminator 2 instead.

New 'Melancholia' Trailer Will Fill You With, Uh...?

What's another word for 'depression'? [post-video postid="206102"]Lars Von Trier is famous for making movies that are impeccably shot, memorably acted, and depressing as hell. And so it appears to be in this new trailer for Melancholia, his new disaster/depression movie starring Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland, Stellan Skarsgård, Udo Kier, and others. Even more than the last trailer, this one shows the movie's gorgeous cinematography and allows you to see a little more of the celestial action in the movie, about a second planet (named "Melancholia") crashing into our planet (named "Earth"). It also begins with the inspiring words "we are alone, there is only life on Earth." A happy thought to kick off your long weekend with!

NBC Taking Another Crack At It With 'Heroes: Reborn' Trailer

Here's hoping things go better this time. Just as they did with Paul Reiser and Michael J. Fox, NBC is hoping to cash in on the name recognition of a once-successful series. Thus, we have the trailer for Heroes: Yeah But Do You Like It Now? The original series headed quickly downhill after a string of good episodes, before stalling out when characters became played out before talent contracts did. But this new Heroes promises to be different while looking exactly the same. Ordinary people develop extraordinary powers while strange symbols that ultimately mean nothing appear all over the world. Hiro is back too. He's used his ability to travel through time to grow a soul patch.

'Man From U.N.C.L.E.' Trailer Is Really Explodey

The Cold War will have to wait. While the first trailer for Guy Ritchie's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. focused on how Solo and Kuryakin seriously hate the sh*t out of one another, this second trailer points to the threat that forces the enemies to hit pause on the Cold War and team up. A criminal organization has got their hands on an atomic bomb. What better way to thwart their evil plans than by recruiting two spies who leave a trail of explosions everywhere they go?
