'Muppets Most Wanted' Trailer Has Muppets, Lots Of Celebs

Just like every other Muppets movie! Here's the trailer for the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted, which will not be written by Jason Segal as the first one was, but it will have many of the same hallmarks as the earlier installments, including more music from Bret McKenzie, and a whole lotta Kermit. It's a Muppet movie, so you'll probably see it, be honest.

‘The Muppets’ Teaser Made You Look

Starring Kermit the F...Frog? Ha ha, you should have seen the look on your face when you watched the above trailer, thinking at first that it was some lame romantic comedy starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. But it isn't! It's The Muppets, starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. It's a pretty hilarious trailer, and they commit better than most to the "fake trailer" conceit. I would have loved to post this as a trailer for "Green With Envy," but they do such a good job faking it that you probably would have turned it off after 10 seconds or so. And that would have been a shame, because you would have missed the really expensive explosion at the end.

New Teaser For ‘The Muppets’ Tries To Put One Over On You Again

Nice try, Muppets! The last trailer for The Muppets put one over on us all, tricking us into thinking it was for some romantic comedy. Now, in their second showing, the teaser is a parody of The Hangover, which brings the implication of drunk Muppets right to the front of my mind. [post-video postid="213252"] There's also a cameo from Wanda Skyes as a not-sassy police officer. Watch out for another surprise celebrity cameo in that scene, as well. Any guesses for what the next Muppets teaser will be a parody of? I'm guessing Schindler's List. http://www.screenjunkies.com/movies/movie-news/the-muppets-awkwardly-walk-towards-you-in-first-poster/

Your Day Will Get Better With This 'Muppets' Trailer

It was smart of the producers to cast Chris Cooper. People who like Muppets generally also really like Chris Cooper. Going into production of the newest Muppet film, titled simply, The Muppets, star and writer Jason Segel promised to handle the institution with the respect it deserves in another full-length trailer. The biggest news from this trailer would be that we get a look at Walter, the newest member of the gang. Where do new Muppets come from? Bulgaria? Burning Man? It's not addressed in the trailer, but I'm guessing we'll find out. However, when the parade of guest stars was announced, it was easy to be a little skeptical of Disney's intentions. Was this film going to actually have something to say, or would it simply be a crass remake appealing to the lowest common denominator? From the trailer, it appears to be the former, more or less. Sure, the involvement of NPH and Jack Black doesn't exactly scream "integrity," but there premise seems cute and likable, much like the fuzzy character themselves. Sure, there are some chickens doing a musical rendition of C. Lo's "Fuck Forget You," but beyond that, it maintains a timeless quality that its predecessors had. Also worth noting is a late appearance by Chris Cooper, who we at Screen Junkies desperately hope is reprising his role as the closeted disciplinarian from American Beauty.

The Muppets Parody Green Lantern In New Teaser Trailer

Kermit may do a better raspy Ryan Reynolds than even Ryan Reynolds himself. [post-album postid="11841" item="2"]We've already seen The Muppets skewer romantic comedies and The Hangover, and now they've got Green Lantern on lock. In this new parody teaser trailer, Kermit may do a better raspy Ryan Reynolds than even Ryan Reynolds himself. Chris Cooper also brings the mean to Kermie's green as the new villain, and the film promises that it will not, I repeat will NOT, be in Swedish. Seems like a diss to the Swedish Chef, especially when it doesn't take much to send him flying off the handle. The Muppets run wildly into theaters November 23, 2011.

The 'Hitman: Agent 47' Trailer is Here Because We Learned Nothing From the Original 'Hitman'

Someone put a bullet in this franchise already. "He’s stronger, faster, more intelligent than other people." So sayeth Spock (Zachary Quinto) about midway through the first trailer for Hitman: Agent 47, a.k.a the reboot of the movie no one wanted to see when it starred someone we actually knew back in 2007. Clearly, Quinto was not referring to anyone involved in this ill-conceived remake while delivering that horrible line of dialogue, as the trailer for Agent 47 manages to cram more cliches into two and a half minutes than its box office bomb of a predecessor was able to do in an hour and a half. A slow motion, CGI gunfight set to one of today's most popular songs? Check. A woman swimming topless in a pool? Check. Oh, and did I mention that Zachary Quinto delivers the line "He’s stronger, faster, more intelligent than other people" with 100% seriousness? Because yeah, that too. Check out the trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 above. It looks like a pile of sh*t, but plenty of things 'splode in it.

A Medieval Nicolas Cage Is An Entertaining Nicolas Cage In The 'Outcast' Trailer

Keep wanting to type this as "Outkast." DAMN YOU, ANDRE 3000! If you're tired of seeing Nicolas Cage in modern times and familiar environments, then the producers of Outcast have a little something they'd like to show you: the trailer for Outcast. In his China-set period piece, Nicolas Cage teams up with another wayward actor (Hayden Christensen) to fight China. Or for China. Something in China. It's hard to get past the hairdo and the grumbling to ascertain what's going on here, but that's just the hallmark of a strong Nic Cage film, isn't it? (Yes. It is.)

'Orange Is The New Black' Gives Us The First Season 3 Trailer

It's light on plot, but it's got "dramedy" written all over it. It's been a year since your Facebook feed was riddled with posts anticipating the sophomore season of Orange is the New Black, so now we get our first look at season three of the Netflix dramedy that suggests life in a women's prison isn't really like Cinemax led us to believe. We don't get much in the way of story here, which is probably good, since that means I don't have to navigate spoiler territory, but it's safe to say that the tone of the trailer is in keeping with the tone of earlier seasons. Also, it warrants mentioning that Piper's looking a little rougher around the edges than before. Don't be surprised if we see her stray further into morally ambiguous waters. (Deadline)

Jason Segal And Emily Blunt Literally Fall For Each Other In 'Five-Year Engagement' Trailer

Co-starring Alison Brie. It's a magical feeling when you meet that special someone who is hot and British and just as accident prone as you, if not more. So, it's no surprise that Jason Segal is eager to put a ring on it in this trailer for The Five-Year Engagement. It, in this case, is Emily Blunt who accepts his proposal but then decides to prolong the engagement when she gets an exciting job opportunity. Hilarity tries to ensue and people fall down a lot. If I didn't see these accidents actually happening, I'd swear that this couple was in an abusive relationship. Directed by Nicholas Stoller, The Five-Year Engagement also has an impressive 60% Must See TV supporting cast, which features Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Mindy Kaling, Chris Parnell, and Jacki Weaver.
