Zombie Acting Tips with Rob Corddry

Zombie action is all the rage these days, and this week Hal was lucky enough to sit down with the cast of the new zombie comedy Warm Bodies, to talk about zombies and how Rob Corddry may be the Daniel Day-Lewis of zombie acting.... until Daniel Day-Lewis tries zombie acting. Thanks to cast and crew of #WarmBodies - Tweet the video! http-// A funny new twist on a classic story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human -- setting off an exciting, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world. 'Fear The Walking Dead' Teases Its First Zombie

Unless it isn't. AMC is giving us another little nibble of Fear the Walking Dead. Unlike our first looks that showed us a man running for his life and a kid discussing the legitimacy of bloggers, this new look shows us what might be our first look at a walker. Or else just some drunk guy dressed as Raiden from Mortal Kombat. If it is in fact a walker, this is a really encouraging preview. In all the chatter about the show, nobody ever mentioned zombies wearing funny hats. That adds a whole new level that's been sorely missing from the original series.

Zombie 'Call Of Duty' Gives "Brains" To George Romero

There are a lot of zombie video games out there, but few with Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar and a killable George Romero. Check out the trailer. There are a lot of zombie video games out there. How do you differentiate yourself? You release a kickass, movie-esque viral trailer. Oh, that's already been done? Well... uh... it'll work again. Call Of Duty: Black Ops Escalation--Call of the Dead is an add-on that lets you play a zombie-killing game starring Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooke and Robert Englund. They released a fun, Grindhouse-style trailer above, complete with retro titles, film burn effect and a voice over that sounds right on the zombie money. George Romero stars as a zombie boss, which I guess is a nice homage to the genre creator, although... I dunno. It'd be like playing a Star Wars game where a main boss is George Lucas. Hilarious, but anti-climactic, cause it takes you out of the game. Still, there's the catharsis factor.

Kevin Smith’s ‘Red State’ Teaser Looks Like A Rob Zombie Movie

Why did Kevin Smith film this with a buttcam? This first look at Kevin Smith's Red State seems like a real departure for the director. It's gritty with it's muted colors and low-tech imagery. The camera work itself is a big departure for Smith, whose primarily known for not employing a lot of movement in his shots. Though it's used to perfect effect here, ratcheting up the terror by towing the audience along for the gruesome horror. Also, there's no orangutan.

The 'Hitman: Agent 47' Trailer is Here Because We Learned Nothing From the Original 'Hitman'

Someone put a bullet in this franchise already. "He’s stronger, faster, more intelligent than other people." So sayeth Spock (Zachary Quinto) about midway through the first trailer for Hitman: Agent 47, a.k.a the reboot of the movie no one wanted to see when it starred someone we actually knew back in 2007. Clearly, Quinto was not referring to anyone involved in this ill-conceived remake while delivering that horrible line of dialogue, as the trailer for Agent 47 manages to cram more cliches into two and a half minutes than its box office bomb of a predecessor was able to do in an hour and a half. A slow motion, CGI gunfight set to one of today's most popular songs? Check. A woman swimming topless in a pool? Check. Oh, and did I mention that Zachary Quinto delivers the line "He’s stronger, faster, more intelligent than other people" with 100% seriousness? Because yeah, that too. Check out the trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 above. It looks like a pile of sh*t, but plenty of things 'splode in it.

'The Walking Dead' Trailer: It's Still About Zombies

Braaaaaiiiiiiiins. If there's one thing guaranteed to appeal to the visitors of Comic Con 2011, it's zombies. And with that in braaaaaaaiiiiiiiiin, AMC has released a trailer for the second season of their surprise hit The Walking Dead. They also announced the premiere date - Sunday, October 16, at 9 P.M. [post-album postid="221362" item="1"]The trailer shows lots of the post-zombie-apocalypse America, including the realization that traffic jams will be a thing of the past once the zombies take over. Maybe this won't be so bad after all... (AOL)

Zombie Game Trailer Is An Elegant Tearjerker

The sad music, the narrative told in reverse, the slow motion, the solid direction, the heartstrings pulled - is it too late to put this in the Best Shorts category at the Oscars this year? Normally we don't post about video games, unless someone is ruining our favorite game by turning it into a horrible movie. However, this trailer for Techland's Dead Island is surprisingly cinematic. It definitely stands out from the bloody, mindless horde of zombie games looking to scoop out your braaaaains... (and the cash from your wallet.) The sad music, the narrative told in reverse, the slow motion, the solid direction, the heartstrings pulled - is it too late to put this in the Best Shorts category at the Oscars this year? Damn it, that was kind of a bummer, though. Why weren't there any badass plants around to help that poor family? Video games have taught me that plants are the natural enemy of zombies, so if I were running Dead Island, I'd get some emergency gardeners in there pronto. The game's official release date has not yet been announced. (Moviefone)
