James Franco Now Available In Straight To Video Form

James Franco doesn't have enough of your attention yet. It's been a while since anything's been heard from actor/writer/student/professor of Egyptology James Franco, presumably because he's been trotting the globe on his latest adventure. Or maybe he was just working on Shadows & Lies. Here's what it's all about, Francophiles:
"Franco plays William Vincent, a quiet and mysterious criminal. When he falls for a New York gangster’s (Josh Lucas) favorite call girl (Julianne Nicholson), Vincent is forced to flee the city, threatened with death if he should ever return. But after four years in exile, Vincent secretly returns intent on rescuing the woman he loves from her dangerous fate."
Sounds pretty cool. The movie is coming out on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD on June 7, but you can see a clip from the movie above. Enjoy, because Franco just doesn't have enough of your attention yet. (Film School Rejects)

Multiple James Francos Converge On 'General Hospital'

"Oscars" James Franco meets Art Gallery James Franco meets Evil "General Hospital" James Franco. James Franco seems to be doing so many different projects, from art gallery movie director to recently appointed Wizard of Oz, that it was only a matter of time before the Francoverse started collapsing in on itself. Evidence: In this clip from "General Hospital," which Franco has a recurring character on because he needs to fill the occasional bits of free time in his schedule, his murdering "The Franco" is going to a black tie affair. Could it be..."The Academy Awards?" That sly reference to his role in 127 Hours makes me think "perhaps." They even worked in his self-portraits and compulsive multi-tasking. Oh man, does this mean his role as a scientist in Rise of the Apes will somehow tie into Akira? I'm hoping that's a "yes" too. For now, though, it looks like "General Hospital" is the nexus point between Franco universes. (The Playlist)

Seth Rogen And James Franco Bring Us The Trailer For 'The Interview'

I couldn't think of worse spies if I tried. Which I haven't. Seth Rogen, having sometimes, but still not all that often decided to stray from the road-tested formula of being a giant, grown-up boy, has once again teamed with James Franco and buddy/partner Evan Goldberg to bring us The Interview. It seems pretty high concept for him, too. The Interview follows Rogen and Franco as they take a diplomatic trip to North Korea to kill Kim Jung Un. Huh. That's...that's something. Even though the project is something of a departure, somewhat in the action vein, you'll still see a lot of familiar faces, including fan fave Lizzie Caplan. Take a look.

James Franco Does K-Fed In 'Spring Breakers' Trailer

You girls wanna get weird? The first trailer for Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers is here and it looks like Alpha Dog filmed on the Girls Gone Wild set. Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Rachel Korine star as four girls who fund their spring break vacation by breaking the law. Faced with the prospect of living the spring break lifestyle forever and running their fingers through James Franco's sick Kevin Federline braids, the girls get in over their head by getting into it with Gucci Mane. Not a wise move. The man has an ice cream cone carved into his face. I don't know if that makes someone tough or not but it at least warrants you keep your distance from them.

James Franco Picks A Fight With Jason Statham In 'Homefront' Trailer

He's going to get his ass beat spectacularly. We've already seen James Franco saw off his own arm in 127 Hours, but now it looks like we'll get the chance to see Jason Statham tear it off and beat him with it. It's a story as old as time. Little girl uses martial arts training to kick the shit out of big, fat bully. Bully's mom hires a sinister meth dealer to get revenge on the little girl. Little girl's undercover cop dad beats down every cartoon redneck in town. If only she didn't wear that hat that day. Homefront also stars Kate Bosworth, Frank Grillo, and Winona Ryder with Gary Fleder directing from a script by Sylvester Stallone, who presumably didn't feel like punching and kicking swamp people this time around.

The Grouchies Awards 2013!

We didn't enjoy the Oscars but we had A LOT of fun picking out the weirdest moments. Last night's Big Movie Awards were given... and it was easily the strangest Oscars telecast in years. Like, even stranger than a rambling Kirk Douglas or James Franco in drag. So we stayed up late to provide you this: The First Annual GROUCHIES AWARDS!! Where we reward the people who were trying to win awards! It was either this or try to sneak into the Vanity Fair after-party dressed as waiters.

‘Thor’ Trailer Will Get You More Amped Than Four Loko

Looks better than Green Lantern, right?

Lake Bell Lies To Be With Simon Pegg In Totally Fictional 'Man Up'

'Divergent' is more believable than this. Man Up stars Simon Pegg as a guy who has a great time with his blind date who isn't completely, totally honest with him. Lake Bell stars as the lying liar who lies in order to be with him. Just so we're clear that this is a work of fiction, Lake Bell looks like this: And Simon Pegg looks like this.Once her deceit is revealed, they then break up and spend the rest of the movie figuring out that they want to be together. What until he finds out that she's not even really British.
