International 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' Trailer Tries to Convince Us Magic is Cool

Jerry Bruckheimer would like you to know that Nicolas Cage is not some gay-bay sorcerer like you're used to seeing. No way. This sorcerer drives a sports car (and is probably going through a sorcerer's mid-life crisis). A new international trailer for The Sorcerer's Apprentice was conjured up today. (*submits resume to Variety*) In this version, we see the same framework of the first with Nicolas Cage in a dopey hat abducting Jay Baruchel from his life as a physics nerd to induct him into the life of a magic nerd. The largest difference is more footage of the excellent Alfred Molina as the villian "Maxim," a nefarious sorcerer who hangs out in dudes' bathrooms but then gets hidden hastily when girls are over. Sadly you'll have to wait until July 16th to see Cage go full-wizard. Witness the magic of computer effects after the jump...

Watch The Evolution of Nicolas Cage's Hair, If You Want

The thing Nicolas Cage will probably be remembered for is his appearance in YouTube videos like "Nicolas Cage Losing His Shit" and the above video, "The Evolution of Nicolas Cage's Hair." Nicolas Cage is a renowned actor of the screen, who always brings a certain French idiom to every character he plays. This quality has earned him millions of fans all around the world and a kind of long-lasting box office stardom that is increasingly rare in Hollywood. Not only that, he also gets to work with true auteurs like Werner Herzog and Ridley Scott, making quality movies that might not be huge hits, but are solid movies that he can be proud of. But the thing Nicolas Cage will probably be remembered for is his appearance in YouTube videos like "Nicolas Cage Losing His Shit" and the above video, "The Evolution of Nicolas Cage's Hair." It's not quite as good as Nic Cage losing his shit, but what is? Side note: I watched the video on mute accompanied by DJ Shadow's "Giving Up the Ghost," and it fits pretty well. Try it!

A Medieval Nicolas Cage Is An Entertaining Nicolas Cage In The 'Outcast' Trailer

Keep wanting to type this as "Outkast." DAMN YOU, ANDRE 3000! If you're tired of seeing Nicolas Cage in modern times and familiar environments, then the producers of Outcast have a little something they'd like to show you: the trailer for Outcast. In his China-set period piece, Nicolas Cage teams up with another wayward actor (Hayden Christensen) to fight China. Or for China. Something in China. It's hard to get past the hairdo and the grumbling to ascertain what's going on here, but that's just the hallmark of a strong Nic Cage film, isn't it? (Yes. It is.)

Nicolas Cage Stands Up To Home Invaders In 'Trespass' Trailer

He'll defend his futuristic safe by any means necessary. If the sight of Nicolas Cage being held at gunpoint tickles your ribs, then Joel Schumacher's Trespass looks to be the comedy of the year. In the first trailer, we see Nicolas Cage and his wife (played for some reason by Nicole Kidman) being hilariously forced to the floor against their will. Then they get kicked and pushed around and threatened with knives and guns. LOL. Move over, Bridesmaids!

Nic Cage Is One Of The Last Men On Earth In The Trailer For 'Left Behind'

I have always thought of Nicolas Cage as the quintessential Christian messenger. If the name of the film sounds vaguely familiar, you might remember Left Behind as a 16-part straight-to-DVD series that starred none other than Kirk Cameron. Also germane is the fact that it was a VERY Christian film about the rapture. Rapture entertainment is incredibly hot right now. The new, more theatrical, Nic Cage-starring version is also VERY Christian, considering it's got the same source material, but it's a little less heavy-handed with the pro-Christian messaging. And the production values are much higher, which makes it seem like less of a Christianity promo film. And it's got Nicolas Cage, who has been in a battle with the spirit of Jesus Christ in a holy war for humankind for 2,000 years. That last bit is just a theory I'm working on. It's up to Cage to disprove it. Here's the trailer. Hope you like it. When choosing a savior, the producers of the film strongly suggest you check the box marked "Jesus."

You No Longer Have To Imagine Nicolas Cage's Face Laid Over Miley Cyrus's In The 'Wrecking Ball' Video

It's exists now. You can always count on the Internet to right the wrongs. The wrong in this case being that Miley Cyrus's new music video failed to replace her face with that of Nicolas Cage. It was a major oversight on the part of her label, but thankfully somebody corrected history. The result is the type of horrifying that you can't stop staring at. Note that the video is brief, but would you really want to hear more than 8 seconds of this song?

NSFW: Nic Cage Bangs Charlotte Ross

Normally I wouldn't be a proponent of watching Nicolas Cage bang anything but this clip from Drive Angry 3D has some redeeming factors. Normally I wouldn't be a proponent of watching Nicolas Cage bang anything but this clip from Drive Angry 3D has some redeeming factors. For one, Nic Cage remains clothed. So that's a relief. Why? Because he never disrobes before a gunfight. Note: all the best gunfighters don't disrobe before their gunfights. That's like Gunfighting 101. The gunfight itself isn't all that spectacular and pales compared to the gunfighting while humping scene in Shoot 'Em Up. What does make this clip awesome however is the fact that Nic Cage's character smokes a cigar and chugs whiskey while in the act. That's baller right there. Also, boobs. The boobs help make this clip awesome too. (via Horror Yearbook)

'The Conjuring' Trailer: So Scary I May Have Pooped On My Underpants

Yet another reason why playing with your kids is a bad idea. James Wan has found himself a nice little niche. Step 1) Make very scary movies for very little money. Step 2) Go to the bank. Previously, Wan earned $100 million on a $1.5 million investment with Insidious. His latest, The Conjuring, looks scary enough to earn all the money. Stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (who don't appear in this trailer) play a husband and wife team of ghost hunters investigating a remote farmhouse. They quickly learn that they are in over their heads when the supernatural activity grows more and more violent. I'm really impressed by the hide and seek sequence featured in this trailer. Suppose you're a ghost and a new family moves into your house and immediately starts playing hide and seek while blindfold. How can you not f**k with them? This ghost, though, just takes it to an amazing level. It deserves our respect. This film was originally slated for January 2013 release but due to resounding praise from audiences, the film was pushed back to August to rake in those sweet, sweet summer dollars.
