'Diablo 3' Gets The Game Trailer It Deserves

Take that, MAKERS OF 'DIABLO 3' I'm not one for video games (more of a drinker, really), but the lifestyle approach that some of these games take could stand to be taken down a peg or two. Apparently, the privilege of spending money on fake stuff in Diablo 3 is something you really have to work for with shipping and handling, authentication, delays, and, of course, cash. If those evil, evil men and women at Diablo 3 have taken your precious money or your precious time, get back at them by watching this video. Then watch their empire burn.

Adam Sandler Takes On Some Video Game Characters In The 'Pixels' Trailer

Another home run for Sandler. Do you like Adam Sandler movies? How about Kevin James film? PERFECT! THEN YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE PIXELS! The plot is largely incidental, because, hey, Sandler, but it appears that Adam and Kevin are recruited to fight video game characters for some reason. Marketing this move may prove to be an uphill battle in the wake of The Cobbler fiasco, in which his most recent film grossed only $24,000 its opening weekend. That's not much money. Pixels has Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan, and Josh Gad, so it will likely make enough to money to buy a Prius, but that doesn't mean it's going to be good. Watch the trailer. You'll see.

The Victors Must Be Eradicated In 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Trailer

It ain't easy being famous in the Districts. Jennifer Lawrence is back as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Since we last saw Katniss, she's now famous for proving her efficiency at murdering teenagers as well as her talent for putting a middle finger in the face of the Capitol. This doesn't sit well with Donald Sutherland's cartoon-evil President Snow and he intends to do something about it. Like beating random old men in front of hundreds of witnesses. That's really going to hurt the old man vote. Though the real news here is the addition of Philip Seymour Hoffman to the series. He steps in for Wes Bentley as Plutarch Heavensbee, the new Head Gamemaker tasked with killing off Katniss and the other victors. Regrettably, he doesn't wear a silly wig or beard. I guess there's only so much money the studio could drive up to his house.

Katee Sackhoff Is Evil And Sexy In 'Sexy Evil Genius' Trailer

There's a good reason we don't look up our exes. In Sexy Evil Genius (now available on DVD and On-Demand) a group of strangers are lured to a downtown LA bar by Nikki, the ex-girlfriend they all have in common. Fresh out of prison for the murder of her last ex-boyfriend (who couldn't attend on account of being dead), Nikki is mysterious about her intentions and her current and former lovers soon realize they are all caught in one of her brilliant, mischievous mind-games with possible deadly consequences. Or maybe a gang-bang? I once went on a ski trip with an ex and unbeknownst to me, she invited a few of her other exes. It didn't end in murder though I wanted it to.

Hey! The Full Trailer For 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' Is Here!

Let's light this candle. When we last left our fearless leader Katniss, she was getting pretty steamed that the government had destroyed her town. Now, in the trailer for Hunger Games: Mockingjay, she has been rescued by the rebels and was getting ready to take on the guv'ment, including that evil president, Donald Sutherland. Since then, we haven't gotten much in the way of narrative for the next installment. We're not big readers here, so we depend on these trailers. We got a couple teasers around Comic-Con, but that's about it. So here we go. The full trailer. Probably one of several, but it shows us what we're in for. Katniss doesn't seem to be alone. She's got a handful of her Hunger Games contestants with her in rebellion. The president is still a shit, and Peeta seems to be working for the Capitol. Well, that's a lot to take in. Just watch the trailer.

'Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows' Trailer

This Sherlock Holmes seems to solve problems with weapons instead of wit. The first trailer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is up, and I really don't think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had this many karate chops in mind when he was developing the character. Like the original entry, this installment appears to be an action film that just happens to have some famous literary characters in it. Like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but much less awful. However, it's not all cookie-cutter, as it appears the role of "Rachel McAdams" will be played by her understudy, Noomi Rapace, who is on loan from the David Fincher collection. Once you get past the explosions, the cross-dressing, and Watson's visible contempt for his employer...there really isn't a whole lot left. So I hope you like explosions and smug RDJ!

'Resident Evil: Afterlife' Trailer Utilizes Cutlery

Go from the outside in. The first trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife really wanted you to know that the film is in 3D. This one also wants you to know that it's in 3D, but it has kind of a story sort of too. Milla Jovovich is back as Alice, and she's fighting more zombies and umbrellas, only this time with the help of an old friend -- Ali Larter back as Claire. The guy from "Prison Break" (Wentworth Miller), who plays Claire's brother, helps the two aggressive females try and take back Los Angeles from the walking dead.  The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the other, worse Paul Anderson in the helming game. He directed the first Resident Evil movie, wrote the other two, and I guess decided he wanted to tell his wife how to throw stuff that will be added in later at the camera for the 3D installment of Resident Evil. One question: why is this thing coming out in IMAX? Aren't those screens being used for films like, I don't know...Inception. I realize that Resident Evil: Afterlife doesn't come out until September, but Inception should still be in IMAX then. The studio must be banking on the fact that audiences will never tire of axes flying at their faces. Check out the trailer after the jump...
