For their latest, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have teamed up for Blended, a comedy that pits the two as single parents who have a disastrous first date but may grow to like each other when they both inadvertently take an African vacation at the same time. Sound like a stretch? Well, perhaps it was the best way to show Adam Sandler riding an ostrich, Mr. Hollywood Genius.
Anyhow, I thought 50 First Dates missed the mark and Blended looks like it’s even a further cry from the greatness that was The Wedding Singer. It’s clear that Sandler stop trying, but what excuse does the hair stylist who worked on those kids have to give? Talk about phoning it in.
