You’re Getting More ‘Game Of Thrones’ Whether You Like It Or Not

After airing only one episode, HBO has renewed “Game of Thrones” for a second season. And it’s not like half the world tuned in either. Sunday’s premiere averaged only 2.2 million viewers, less than half of what”Boardwalk Empire” brought in last fall. Granted, the fantasy epic doesn’t have a face like Steve Buscemi‘s to flash around, but there’s enough sex and violence to appease the same demographic. It’s worth noting though that the encore showings of “Game” brought in another 2 million, so if my math is correct, that makes 9 pizzas. Now I understand why HBO pulled the trigger on a second season.
