Wilfred, the super-high-concept show about a man who has a talking dog, who’s actually a surly guy in a dog suit, is being put down after its fourth and final season. The season’s run will air on FXX, the newly established sister network to FX.
The show demonstrated a lot of promise early on as it got 2.55 million viewers in its series premiere, but has steadily lost steam, drawing just 440,000 viewers upon the third season finale.
I guess the talking dog schtick gets a little old after a while. Anyway, for the 14 of you guys still watching the show: change the channel to FXX, and play with Wilfred while you still can.
