‘True Detective’ Producers Might Cast Sarah Jessica Parker In A New Show

She doesn't LOOK gritty.

You know her as Carrie Bradshaw and as the star as a handful of insufferable rom-coms. You may know her also as the co-star in Striking Distance and L.A. Story. But probably you just know Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie from Sex and the City. But that might change.

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Anonymous Content, the forces behind HBO’s True Detective have picked up the rights to Busted: A Tale Of Corruption And Betrayal In The City Of Brotherly Love, a book that followed two investigative reporters as they tracked corruption in the city of Philadelphia. SJP would ostensibly play one of the pair.

And if they change the name to BUSTED!!!, I’m totally down for it.

It’s speculated that both lead roles will be women, which would make this in the vein of True Detective with the genders reversed. No word on who the other party would be, but, come on…Jennifer Lawrence, right?
