A show like Mad Men never really seems to half-ass anything, with every little detail labored upon. So it should come as little surprise that while most TV studios were sending out those “Burn Notice for your consideration for Best Series!” flyers and ads, Mad Men took a different tact.
They put together a portfolio of self-referential ads to get their point across, and did so all in the vernacular of the shows ad firm. The results are pretty great and very clever. Take a look:
