Mattel, probably in an effort to create a half-hour long commercial for yet another of its products, has announced that it's making a game show out of the widely-known card game Uno.

The show will be rolled out as a half-hour daily show and an hour-long primetime version, because an hour is necessary to really capture the futility of the card game, and will help audiences identify with Uno players in realizing that they'd much rather be doing something else, but God has a way of laughing when people make plans, or some such thing.

As if you didn't feel guilty enough when you were home sick from work, now you're going to spend that time watching Uno. I think the survivors will envy the dead.
