TV personality Art Linkletter has died at the age of 97.
Linkletter, who began his career at CBS radio in the 1940s, became a mainstay of 1950s television, at one point hosting a show on all three networks. His credits include the orginal version of "Kids Say the Darndest Things" and "Art Linkletter’s House Party", which I can only assume was the basis for the popular Kid ‘n Play films of the same name.
Word is that Linkletter died of natural causes, but I’ll believe it when I see the autopsy report. They said the same thing about Bob Hope, and we all remember how that turned out.
RIP, Art. (Variety)
