Those familiar with South Park know that one of its greatest competitive advantages over other shows, animated and non-animated, is its ability to address super-current events thanks to a production schedule that has them writing scripts as near as six days out from the air date.

This became somewhat common knowledge after the fun and insightful documentary Six Days to Air, which follows a typical week for the South Park creators leading up to an episode.

The highwire act finally hit a snag when South Park Studios in Santa Monica lost power and several crucial hours of productivity on Tuesday night, which was probably crucial animating and editing time for Wednesday's show.

All is not lost. The episode will air on October 23, and the Scott Tenorman episode aired last night, which might be one of the best episodes in the history of television. So, all good. We can wait.
