In news that shouldn't really effect your life one way or another, SNL head writer, Colin Jost, has just been hired to replace Seth Meyers as "Weekend Update" anchor. He'll join Cecily Strong behind the desk as they smirk their way through the news and laugh politely when Kenan Thompson comes by to play a "hilarious" character.

The Harvard alum has been with SNL since 2005 and took over as head writer in 2012. He's also dating Rashida Jones. Just another example of him following in Seth Meyers's footsteps. (NY Times)
