[post-album postid="30873" item="5"]If there was ever any doubt that True Blood would be back to melt faces or bang relatives for another season, you can dispel them now. Though HBO has yet to renew the series (technically), they have signed show creator Alan Ball on to run the show for at least another year. This was revealed by Ball at the Television Critics Association Press Tour.
"I have no desire to leave," he said. "Doing the show, I'm having more fun than I have ever had in my life." He later said that he and the show's writers are already breaking stories for Season 5 and one of them is about "how one of the vampires was made."

Ball's deal actually extends past this season should he choose to stick with the show, or take a backseat in order to develop more programming for HBO. Personally, I'd stick around at least until the introduction of sexy Black Lagoon creatures. (Deadline)
