With Jay Leno leaving The Tonight Show for real this time and Jimmy Fallon taking over those hosting duties, NBC has confirmed suspicions that Seth Meyers will replace Fallon as Late Night host. "It always seemed like a logical next move," says the SNL veteran and Weekend Update host. "It was just competing with the very emotional idea of leaving a place I have been for a very long time. But if you are going to do that, it seems like you might as well just move a hallway or two." Makes sense. He probably won't even need to hire movers.

Meyers will wrap up SNL's fall season before moving to Late Night this winter, and then probably return to SNL when Leno decides he's not giving up The Tonight Show after all. (NY Times)
