Between "Band On Brothers" and "Life," Damian Lewis has built a pretty good following. Now he's set to star in the new Showtime series "Homeland." He'll portray a marine who returns home after being held captive in Baghdad for close to ten years. But, a CIA agent played by the totally-believable-as-a-CIA-agent Claire Danes suspects he is planning an attack against the United States.

Definitely sounds promising. With Dexter," "Californication," Weeds," "United States Of Tara," and "Nurse Jackie," Showtime always builds really intriguing casts and this one is no exception. Well, I mean the leads. Showtime always casts intriguing actors in lead roles. Ignore the supporting characters. Especially the ones who play the daughters. (Deadline)
