Mulaney, one of the only sitcoms in recent history to generate any sort of positive buzz before getting picked up...didn't get picked up by NBC, much to the chagrin of the SNL writer's fan base.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the series was in limbo for several months, it wasn't able to hang on to stars Elliott Gould and Nasim Pedrad, but was able to keep Martin Short as Mulaney's boss. I call that a net gain. The show will be written by, produced by, and star Mulaneys as a New York writer for a game show host (Short).

The order is only for six episodes, but hopefully enough people can get on board (probably in spring) that it gets a full-season order shortly.

Do this for us, network TV. We need this.
