‘Homeland’ Viewership Shot Up 26% Over Season 2 Premiere, ‘Breaking Bad’ Be Damned

Trouble in paradise.

Despite going up the same night as what may have been the most anticipated TV event in a decade, Homeland was able to improve on its season 2 premiere, with the season 3 kickoff improving 9% in live viewership, and 26% when audiences factored in other viewing methods. Further, it’s likely that even more viewers will hunker down with the show in the coming days, meaning that Homeland is kicking as strong as ever.

No plot points to be given away here, but it will be interesting to see how the audience deals with a shakeup that leaves Brody out of the first two episodes entirely, and keeps him at bay for most of the season. Of course, if you haven’t caught the episode yet, you can watch it right here, right now.
