HBO Picks Up A Very Somber Show In ‘Laughs Unlimited’

Tuesday, December 18 by
It doesn't LOOK funny.

You can tell it’s serious because they declined to use the yukkier “laffs” in the title.

Laughs Unlimited has been ordered by HBO, but it’s seriously about as funny as Two and a Half Men, so don’t let the name fool you.

In the TV show, an Army medic returns home from Afghanistan to find her husband divorcing her and wrestling away custody of their child. I’ll wait for you to stop giggling.

She becomes a cop, but continues to cope with PTSD with her fellow lawmen at a Sacramento comedy club called…that’s right…Laughs Unlimited. If it sounds a bit morose, don’t read the part about it being set in Sacramento again. It truly chills the spine.
