HBO Okays ‘Flight of the Conchords’ But For Ladies

The benevolent patriarchs at HBO have taken another bold step in the march towards equality for ladies. Comedy-folk duo Garfunkel and Oates (actual names Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome) have signed a pretty little development deal with the cable channel, and are writing a pilot episode with Richie Keen, who also developed "Important Things with Demetri Martin." Very nice of him to take time out of his important career developing masculine TV shows to help out a couple of girls, isn't it? If the pilot is greenlit, there is some kind of web component to the show planned, perhaps in which pictures of pretty dresses and shoes are posted on the internet for other ladies to look at if they get bored during the show. It's not known whether the pilot is going to be a sitcom like "Flight of the Conchords," some kind of musical sketch comedy, or an instructional program informing ladies how to cook, clean their homes, and keep their husbands sexually satisfied. Since these two girls have a man helping them, who's to say it can't be all three? (via Warming Glow)
