Boy Meets World's Shawn Hunter had a pretty rough childhood. Between his crappy parents and constantly getting into trouble, life always seemed to kick this kid. Why should that change now?

Earlier this week it was announced that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel would reprise their roles for the Disney Channel's spin-off sequel, Girl Meets World. Now there's word from Rider Strong that he hasn't been asked to play the creepy guy who's just kinda hanging around. He writes on his website:
"So I am extremely happy for Ben and Danielle to be able to continue the story. At this point, I have no official involvement in Girl Meets World. There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it’s own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters."

I think the point here is that he won't be hanging around as a regular because it will be weird like when Shannon Doherty came back for the new 90210. Instead his character will be used more sparingly. Like in episodes where Shawn shows up needing money. Or episodes when Shawn shows up and needs help getting rid of a body. Or episodes where Cory's daughter discovers Shawn living under their porch. Save it for Sweeps Week.

If Disney does decide to not bring back Rider Strong but Bread Savage gets an appearance, you know they're just being total dicks. (TV Line)
