If”The Walking Dead” season two is receiving budget cuts, you wouldn’t know it by looking at these two first look photos the production released today from the set. The undead are back and looking scarier and more worn for the wear than before and definitely not like extras hanging out on the outskirts of Atlanta.

Series head honcho Frank Darabont had this to say:

“At this moment, I’m standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It’s great to be shooting again. I think we’ve embarked on a great season.”

It’s hard to keep your weight up as a zombie especially after you’ve already eaten most of civilization. I like this new gaunt almost alien look for the second season Roamers. Next, show us where Merle has been hanging out.
