If you Facebook newsfeed has been brought to a rolling boil with postings of a Los Angeles pop-up shop called "Dumb Starbucks" (how subversive!), you're not alone. You probably were treated to armchair IP and fair use attorneys arguing how this sort of thing either was or wasn't covered by satire and parody exemptions.

Really fun stuff.

Starbucks, of course, go in on the fun, saying that while they recognized the joke, they were evaluating next steps.

Those next steps are tricky, because they weren't selling anything. They were just giving away coffee. Without a board of health permit, it would seem. So that's over. And as it ended, it was revealed that the mastermind behind the concept was Nathan Fiedler, the star of Nathan for You, a Comedy Central prank show. A filming permit drawn on that location was pulled by Tim and Eric's production company. I just KNEW those rascals had a hand in this.

Though it hasn't been out-and-out stated, it's likely this is fodder for his second season, which airs soon. In the meantime, enjoy a triple-dumb-pump, dumb skinny, soy dumb macchiatto.
