HBO has announced its next show that book readers can spoil for their friends and it sounds like a good one. Noah director Darren Aronofsky is teaming with the network to adapt the apocalyptic MaddAddam trilogy. Based on the novels by Margaret Atwood, the story takes place in a near future where corporations are in control and centers on events that take place before and after the Waterless Flood that killed off most of the world's population. It will feature a large cast of characters, including those who brought on the apocalypse and the victims.

So pretty much Treme without horns. (Deadline)
