Bonkers ‘Breaking Bad’ Sequel Series In The Works By Guy Who Snorted All The Cocaine

Thursday, July 17 by

Now this is a crowd-funded project that I can get behind. A man named Larry Shepard is using Kickstarter to solve a problem we all suffer from everyday: creating more Breaking Bad. However, with no film or television experience, his ideas are a little unorthodox. Good Lord, where do I begin?

Shepard is imagining a sequel series that picks up directly after the final scene of the sorely missed series. His show presumably will introduce all new characters who will be played by Val Kilmer, Slash, Laura San Giacomo, and Jana Mashonee if they are interested. The roles are theirs to lose. And also to write apparently as Shepard wants to allow the actors to build their characters and improvise their own dialogue. Same goes for the guest stars that Shepard would like to call upon. He’s expressed interest in Russell Brand, Jamie Lee Curtis, Steven Tyler, Dick Van Dyke, Drew Barrymore, Robert Downey Jr., Robin Williams, Neil Young, and Eminem as they all have histories of substance abuse issues.

This project might seem beneath stars of their stature but if that bothers them, they’re more than welcome to wear masks. Shepard elaborates:

These will be guest appearances on separate episodes, and the star would be told that all the dialogue they use will be completely created by them. Some guest stars will be in full make up/prosthetics throughout the show, and we will only reveal who they are at the end! Think of ‘The List of Adrian Messenger’ movie. When they appear in the intro, the tag line will say: Guest Starring? They of course are fugitives that Kilmer and Slash are chasing, who have had plastic surgery!

I implore you to check out the promo video. With less than a thousand dollars donated toward his $500,000 goal, it’s unlikely this project will see the light of day. If there is any good to come of this, I feel like this guy should get to meet Slash.
