‘Better Call Saul’ Putting Up Real (Fake) Billboards In Albuquerque

Thursday, July 24 by
In all its majesty...

Along I-25 in Albuquerque, keep an eye out for an innocuous-looking billboard that features a sharp, scrappy lawyer named James McGill. Mr. McGill, as Breaking Bad lore has it, will eventually become Saul Goodman, the shady lawyer that manages to insert himself into the biggest meth operation in the American southwest. This billboard comes up now during shooting of the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul.

This pic was snapped by a commuter, so the billboard is up, and it’s likely that it’s serving as both a marketing device and a visual element of shooting.

In case you were wondering, the number on the billboard is real, so go ahead and give it a call. In case you’re all out of your anytime minutes, the line leads to a recorded message by Odenkirk as McGill.

Get excited for Better Call Saul, coming 2015.
