AMC Orders ‘Walking Dead’ After Show ‘Talking Dead’

AMC is giving The Walking Dead the Jersey Shore treatment. Season two will introduce new obstacles for the survivors, but it will also offer a live after show where viewers can discuss the show’s events. Talking Dead will premiere on Oct. 16, immediately following the encore presentation of The Walking Dead. Then beginning on Friday, Nov. 4, the series will follow The Walking Dead’s encore presentation at 11 PM.

Host Chris Hardwick will talk with fans and the show’s creators. Says Hardwick, “As an ENORMOUS fan of both The Walking Dead comic and television show, I pretty much begged for this job. Dissecting the moves of Rick Grimes and the remaining survivors after every episode is something I would be doing with my friends anyway, so the fact that AMC is actually paying to do so is a bonus.”

Here’s hoping that dismissed creator Frank Darabont will call in and issue spoilers while disguising his voice to sound like a snooty, high-pitched British woman. (Deadline)
