The folks at Adult Swim are fans of comedian Bob Odenkirk ("Mr. Show"). They ordered five seasons of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, which Odenkirk wrote and performed for, and will soon be a "billion dollar" budget motion picture with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. So the Adult Swimmers are wisely asking Odenkirk to create a new television show that makes fun of the shitty production values of locally-produced videos. *Inset VCR Tracking Effects*

Odenkirk's new AS pilot is called "Regal Productions," a live action show about a production company based out of a North Hollywood strip mall that makes "wedding videos, internet ads, low budget infomercials and even feature films for 'ancillary' markets." Sounds like a solid premise for what I assume will be a sketch comedy show. Hopefully there will be a lot of bits that revolve around Odenkirk attempting to sing.

Odenkirk will star in the pilot along with "Regal Productions" co-developers Brian Jarvis and Jim Freeman. (Deadline)
