This author obviously dislikes the sitcom. His point of view, but not the majorities. Would you prefer the boring NBC manufactured shows like “The Office?” 2 1/2 is funny and real. Charlie is the best of the best.

It’s worth mentioning that there is another side to this story: That is, Chuck Lorre (stage name btw) who is the producer of 2 1/2 Men. He has been needling Charlie Sheen pretty much continously in what are called “Vanity Cards” that air in the last two seconds of each broadcast. Below, from a website that Lorre set up to archive his rantings, is one of the tamer examples, I understand:

He goes on in other broadcasts to call him empty & soulless; Not really morale boosting material one would expect from their employer.

Imo, Lorre needs to be tossed out with the trash so that Charlie can get back into a positive and productive environment.

Feels like this is the bizarro world view of Sheen and the Show.

Or that the writer is lickin someone’s (that isn’t a certain coke + porn star riddled) uh ..posterior.

Seriously, I don’t know anyone that thinks the show (or Charlie) is as bad as this article makes it seem. It’s not art, but as TV sitcoms go, of which ALL are universally bad for you, because they take that area of your brain, that is known in scientific circles as “the brain” and they smash it against something really really hard.

In short, I thought this one was just like all other sitcoms in that time-and-brain-wasting-regard, except it had the guy that looks like Tom Cruise’s cousin, and the guy that played Duckie in it.

So still brain-melting crap but brain-melting crap with a bank account to hire some cool.

Why you hating on Charlie and the Show so much?
