Superman

The first live-action depiction of the Man of Steel came about in this 1948 film serial, Superman. This was followed by, Atom Man vs. Superman, a second serial two years later, A few years later, Superman was scaled down for the small screen version starring George Reeves.

Captain America

Captain America was first introduced to television audiences in the series The Marvel Superheroes. Cap’s adventures aired every Monday featuring guest appearances from the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Giant-Man, the Wasp, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch. The Star-Spangled Avenger’s exploits seem to hew closely to those we’ve seen in recent Marvel films — from episodes like “The Origin of Captain America” to “The Red Skull Lives” to “He Who Holds the Cosmic Cube.”

Justice League (1997)

This 1997 pilot for the Justice League of America was a swing and a miss. In order to avoid expensive copyright issues, the series focused on lesser-known team members Guy Gardner, Green Lantern, Fire, Ice, the Flash, and the Atom. How3ever, without big draws like Batman and Superman the show failed to get picked up. Hell, they couldn’t even afford Aquaman.
