Even if you hate reality television, the people who are on it are usually just attention hungry folks who are looking to make a quick buck. They aren't bad, just a little sad and desperate. However, there are more and more legitimately terrible people who are appearing on reality shows these days, as bad people are drawn to their chance at fifteen minutes of fame, and we love to watch these awful people from the safety of our own couches. Below are seven of the worst reality show stars ever, from a personality standpoint.
1. Melissa from Season 9 of "The Biggest Loser."
One of the most chillingly icy liars to ever be documented on reality television, Melissa faked her weight loss and then mustered crocodile tears about it. Her husband was even convinced to do the same, making her a total sociopath.
2. Sammi "Sweetheart" on "Jersey Shore."
Kind of hot, but also a total drama queen, Sammi "Sweetheart" only exists to cause trouble it seems and she is an expert at it. She picks fights over everything and stabs people in the back about as often as she wears something with tacky leopard print.
3. Russell Hantz on "Survivor."
Many people already know how awful Russell Hantz is, but if you don't, here's a quick recap: Lied about being a victim of Hurricane Katrina by saying he lost his family dog in the flooding, which actually never even existed; said he was already a millionaire, when in fact he wasn't; he burned people's socks and even tried to claim he was really the winner, when in fact he wasn't.
4. Farrah from "Teen Mom."
This MTV show usually inspires pity for these teen moms, but not for Farrah, who would leave her baby at home every night, go out and get drunk and bang different guys, raising the possibility of getting pregnant again and being a bad mother to another child. Truly reprehensible.
5. Tyra Banks from a variety of different shows.
Not only is Banks a total hypocrite by attacking the fashion industry for manipulating people after all she did was profit off of it in the beginning of her career, she demands worship from each of the"America's Next Top Model" contestants. She is completely full of herself, so much that even with pages of producers notes in the editing room, it is impossible to hide her true nature on screen.
6. Coach from "Survivor."
Why anyone cares about these women in general doesn't make much sense, but Kelly Bensimon's awful, hateful personality is enough to make you watch constantly and want to throw something through your television at the same time. She is totally self-involved, bitter and mean. You have to wonder if people only watch to find out if something bad happens to her.
