6 Shows Like Gossip Girl That Will Make You Feel Overprivledged Too

Thursday, April 5 by Sasha Moody

"Gossip Girl" is one of those shows full of rich, over-privileged kids living glamorous lives at just 16! You just can't stop watching them in their designer clothes at glamorous parties, constantly jetting off to other countries and spending money without a second thought. But, don't forget they're just kids and they do have normal teenage problems just like normal teenagers do.

We'll start off our list with the Pivileged". Rose and Sage Baker are two sisters living in Florida with their extremely wealthy and busy grandmother. Their parents died when they were very young, so they've basically been on their own, until one day when their grandmother hires a nanny for them. At only 15 and 16 years old, the sisters have anything they could possibly imagine to ask for! They wear the most expensive clothes, eat at the most famous restaurants and do whatever they do whenever they want to do it.

Another one of our favorite shows about over-privileged kids is "90210". The show starts out when Annie and Dixon <span data-scayt_word=Wilsonmove to Los Angles from Kansas with their family. At first they find it a little difficult to blend in with the spoiled rich kids from Beverley Hills but soon they realize that underneath all the designer clothes and superficial glamour, they're just like them! "90210" has a great story line, but we're also guilty about gushing over all the cool clothes they wear and amazing stuff they do.

"The OC"

"The OC" was one of the first shows of the decade like "Gossip Girl" with over-privileged rich kids. Set in Newport Beach, California, "The OC" definitely has more than a couple wealthy teenagers. Their lives take a turn when Seth Cohen's father from the TV show takes a kid from the beat up streets of Chino into his home. As an outsider he sees all the kids at Newport with no respect for their lifestyles and money and ends up teaching them how to appreciate and enjoy their lives to the fullest.

"Melrose Place"

A remake of the original 1990s "Melrose Place", this season was released in 2009. Not a huge hit, but had a strong following of people of had also watched the original "Melrose Place". The show is full of beautiful young people living in Beverly Hills, California. They portray them as 'struggling' but to us that definitely looks like the good life! They are aspiring actors, actresses, singers, entrepreneurs–there's even a doctor in the mix! They always look perfect, perhaps like Beverly Hills Barbies and they always find some time to party amidst all the drama in their lives.

"My Super Sweet 16"

"My Super Sweet 16" is a reality TV show about incredibly wealthy kids who throw huge birthday bashes for themselves. The show follows them all throughout the process from the planning to the opening of their presents. More than a few times you see them crying over not getting the fifty thousand dollar car they want or the absolute hottest band for their party. However, it usually works out at the end of the day leaving us envious of their easy lifestyle.

"Laguna Beach"

"Laguna Beach" is another TV show we absolutely love! Its real rich kids, with real problems! The show is set in the posh Laguna Beach area. They deal with love, sex, school and much more. But when it comes to spending a thousand dollars on a pair of shows, no body thinks twice. We have never seen so many good looking people in one television reality show!
