CHECK OUT WHAT TO WATCH AFTER THE JUMP
NOTE: ALL TIMES EASTERN AND PACIFIC!!!
CBS FALL PREVIEW
Network: CBS
Time: 8:30 – 9PM
Reasons to watch: Get a glimpse of the new shows in CBS’s stable. Will they be retreads of the comedies and procedurals the network already shows? Yes. Will they be number one in the ratings despite any semblance of merit? Yes. Will hundreds of Hollywood hopefuls pack up and go home this year, or worse,
become Hollywood Boulevard Superheroes because there is a lack of originality in American television? Definitely, yes.
GLEE
Network: FOX
Time: 9 – 10PM
Reasons to watch: FOX rolls out its much-hyped musical comedy about an idealistic teacher who reinstates the
high school‘
glee club. It’s getting great buzz and if
Jane Lynch is playing with the A game she exhibited in
Role Models, we’ll definitely check it out.
MAN VS. WILD
Network: Discovery
Time: 9 – 10PM
Reasons to watch: Bear Grylls travels to the Chihuahuan Desert. Of course there are only two possible outcomes here. Either he’ll be eaten by a pack of Chihuahua or he’ll pull a
Mike Tyson and eat a Chihuahua.
SPECTACLE WITH ELVIS COSTELLO
Network: Sundance
Time: 10 – 11PM
Reasons to watch: Elvis Costello sits down with She & Him, Jenny Lewis, and Jakob Dylan. Wait a minute. Whoa. Whoa. WHOA. Jenny Lewis AND
Zooey Deschanel in the same place. INDIE CRUSH OVERLOAD!! Glasses fogging…. skinny jeans tightening…. must drink Sparks to snap out of it….
BIOGRAPHY: KEVIN JAMES
Network: Biography
Time: 10 – 11PM
Reasons to watch: Get inside the head of this corpulent funnyman and find out just how he falls down so well.
