What’s On TV Tonight: Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Tonight on television you’ll find out who’s had more work done, the lizard aliens from ABC’s V remake or aging lesbian Rod Stewart.

Time: 8 – 9PM

Reasons to watch: The Visitors return tonight in ABC’s remake of the classic science fiction series. Not sure that this one will do too well. The promos aren’t all that enticing and, apart from Lost, ABC hasn’t had much success with genre entries. They should stick with what they do best… that show about the ugly girl. Teri Hatcher, I think her name is.

 

FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER
Network: FX
Time: 8 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: This sequel to the original suckfest is still a suckfest but a better suckfest than expected. If that makes sense. Though portraying Galactus as a storm cloud is a major cop-out.

 

DANCING WITH THE STARS
Network: ABC
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: The producers dust off lesbian-lookalike Rod Stewart to sing "It’s The Same Old Song." Things go well for awhile until his jaw bone rots off and hits the floor like when Beetlejuice makes Alec Baldwin super elderly.

 

DIRTY JOBS
Network: Discovery
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: Mike travels to Honolulu to make tofu. Sure it doesn’t seem like a dirty job on the surface but you should hear the way those beans scream when coagulated. It’s just… horrible.

 

LITTLE COUPLE
Network: TLC
Time: 10 – 11PM

Reasons to watch: Tonight the couple attempts to train their dog. They’d better not be training it to carry them around like a little horse because I’m putting in a call to the Animal Cops if that’s the case.
