What’s On TV Tonight: Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Thursday, September 24 by
Of course the big premiere tonight is that of the heavily-anticipated FlashForward. But we also get a new season of the Grandfather of Cheesy Procedurals, CSI. Throw in some hard partying with John Mayer and you may have to call out sick tomorrow.

If you want to see what else is hot this fall season, check out our Fall Prime Time Picks.

CHECK OUT WHAT TO WATCH AFTER THE JUMP

NOTE: ALL TIMES EASTERN AND PACIFIC!!!

FLASHFORWARD
Network: ABC
Time: 8 – 9PM

Reasons to watch: Tonight’s long-awaited premiere kicks off the series that we’ve been hearing about for so long. The premise follows two FBI agents who black out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds along with the rest of the world. During that time everyone experiences a vision of how the world will end. Sounds interesting though I prefer the title, Roofied By Destiny.

ROB DYRDEK’S FANTASY FACTORY
Network: MTV
Time: 8:30 – 9PM

Reasons to watch: Rob Dyrdek goes out partying with John Mayer and ends up having to have his stomach pumped. Mayer accompanies him to the hospital and tweets about it. Really? John Mayer? What a rock star! He bangs hot chicks and takes his buddies to get their stomachs pumped. He’s like the Tommy Lee of folk music or whatever it is that he does.

CSI
Network: CBS
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: The team investigates the death of a young actress who was rammed through a light into oncoming traffic. And Jorja Fox returns to the show that she left in order to branch out into movies. Also, who the f*** is Jorja Fox?

BIOGRAPHY: PEEWEE HERMAN
Network: Biography
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: Peewee’s comeback charges on with a Biography special tonight. Not only was he on Leno this week, he also opened a Twitter account in order to promote his new stage show. By this time next month, we’ll all be wearing red bow ties and screaming. Oh God. There’s going to be so much screaming.

EXTREME CUISINE WITH JEFF CORWIN
Network: Food Network
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: Jeff Corwin travels to Morocco where he cooks an entire ram in an underground oven. Gross. I expect that kind of behavior from a giant or Mike Tyson but not from you Jeff Corwin.

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA
Network: FX
Time: 10 – 10:30PM

Reasons to watch: The gang hits the road for a relaxing trip to the Grand Canyon in order to broaden their horizons. Instead they hot-box a U-Haul with wicker fumes and run over a mountain biker. Sounds about right.
