High-octane thrills, nerds, and Tim Burton fan fiction. Tonight’s TV Preview is like a trip to Six Flags.

CHECK OUT WHAT TO WATCH AFTER THE JUMP

NOTE: ALL TIMES EASTERN & PACIFIC

TRAUMA
Network: NBC
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: NBC rolls out its new adrenalinized, balls-to-the-wall medical adventure series Trauma. It’s a series about accident scene first responders and the implausible situations they find themselves in. Here’s a simple equation to help you figure out what this show is all about: ((ER – classiness) X (kick you in the testicles / Slipknot) + will be canceled soon).

BIG BANG THEORY
Network: CBS
Time: 9:30 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: Lewis Black guest stars as an entomologist who must settle a bet about a rare breed of cricket. Will he settle said bet with the power of unnecessary screaming and quakiness? I’ll eat that cricket if he doesn’t.

LIE TO ME
Network: FOX
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: A woman with multiple personalities claims to have witnessed a murder. But the murder may have been committed by one of her personalities. Perhaps the truth can be seduced out of her by my alter-ego, Dirk Sexxxington.

RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Network: Biography
Time: 9 – 10PM

Reasons to watch: A hairdresser uses a ten-fingered razor blade glove contraption to cut the hair of her customers. This sounds like a blatant rip-off of Edward Scissorhands. If it turns out that she also makes ice sculptures or guts Anthony Michael Hall, Warner Brothers may just have a case.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW
Network: USA
Time: 9 – 11PM

Reasons to watch: Reverend Al Sharpton guest hosts tonight’s episode of RAW. Yeah. That Al Sharpton. As in the civil rights activist and former candidate for the Democratic Presidential ticket. I’m not sure what he’s doing hosting a wrestling show. Maybe he got lost on his way to Larry King Live.
