CHECK OUT WHAT TO WATCH AFTER THE JUMP
NOTE: ALL TIMES EASTERN & PACIFIC!!!
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th, 2009
Time: 9 - 10PM
Reasons to watch: Everyone was shocked to learn that Dollhouse was returning for a second season. Historically, FOX has always mistreated Joss Whedon's works and let's face it, this show doesn't measure up to his other properties. Fingers crossed that season two steps it up a notch and picks up viewers. Renewal or not, Echo and the other Dolls still have one foot in the grave.
DATELINE: THE MICHAEL JACKSON TAPES
Time: 9 - 10PM
Reasons to watch: Dateline milks a dead horse with tonight's airing of archived tapes of Michael Jackson discussing his life and his work. I can tell you from experience that horse milk in general tastes awful but DEAD horse milk is a whole new level of vomit on yourself. Jackson's friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is also interviewed. First question: Why is your name so awesome?

CHILDREN OF THE CORN
Time: 9 - 11PM
Reasons to watch: This teleplay was co-written by Stephen King because he wasn't happy with the Peter Horton-starring version that was released in the 1980s. The author felt that it didn't stick close enough to his source material. I'm not sure getting in bed with Syfy is that great of an idea if you want to reinvent a project. With their track record, that's an excellent way to contract Syfy-lis.
Time: 11:30PM - 1AM
Reasons to watch: SNL returns for it's one thousandth season with host Megan Fox and musical guest U2. Fox is reportedly very eager to show off her comedic side. It's sure to be an uphill battle. Dudes NEVER laugh when a pretty girl tries to tell a joke. It just doesn't happen. It's like science or something.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, 2009
Time: 8 - 8:30PM
Reasons to watch:The Simpsons return with Season 21. Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen wrote tonight's episode about Homer being cast as the lead in a superhero movie. Yeah, right. Since when does a fa unknown get hand-selected to carry a major motion picture?
Time: 9 - 10PM
Reasons to watch:Dexter Morgan suddenly finds himself a family man in the fourth season opener. The strain of raising a young baby is really effecting his ability to cut murderers up into little pieces. We all have to make sacrifices when we have children. Or I should say, we all have to stop making human sacrifices when we have children.
