CHECK OUT WHAT TO WATCH AFTER THE JUMP

NOTE: ALL TIMES EASTERN AND PACIFIC!!!

THE HOT CHICK
Network:
FX
Time: 8-10PM

Reasons to watch: On paper The Hot Chick looks like a terrible body-swap comedy but it’s actually a surprisingly entertaining comedy. If you’re looking to laugh, the scene where Schneider’s Jessica masquerades as Taquito the Gardener and talks to her dad about women is hilarious. Say what you will about Rob Schneider movies. Things could always be worse. They could be David Spade movies.

PARKS AND RECREATION
Network:
NBC
Time: 8:30-9PM

Reasons to watch:
In tonight’s episode, Leslie goes door-to-door to drum up support for her parks project. Whenever I move into a new neighborhood I like to canvas as well. It’s a great way to befriend the children in the neighborhood so that they don’t egg your house on Halloween. "Hello. I just moved in down the street. Do you have any sons or daughters?"

CSI
Network:
CBS
Time: 9-10PM

Reasons to watch: The Exorcist director William Friedkin stops by CSI to helm an episode that lifts the mask on the mysterious world of Mexican wrestling. Friedkin was a weird choice to direct a cookie-cutter procedural like CSI but I guess it’s no stranger than the time that David Lynch directed those episodes of ALF.

DEATH RACE
Network:
Cinemax
Time: 10PM-12AM

Reasons to watch:
In this remake, Jason Statham plays an imprisoned ex-racecar driver forced to compete in a post-apocalyptic kill or be killed race to the finish. If he wins the extreme battle, he’ll win his freedom. I can’t believe that Hollywood made a movie about a demolition derby… twice. On second thought, yes I can.

HALLOWEEN
Network:
TMC
Time: 10PM-12AM

Reasons to watch: Rob Zombie’s disturbing take on the classic horror flick provides an eery look at the Shatner-masked killer as a boy. The second half of the movie mostly follows the same beats as the original but now with the added cumbersome Rob Zombie-scripted Carney dialogue. I’m not entirely sure what the appeal of that is but the kids down at the Hot Topic seem to enjoy it.
