In the comic Rick is hardly in Atlanta at all and they aren't at the camp too long. Also, Shane doesn't make it out of the camp, so that's already changed and Darabont has said he definitely wanted to explore Rick and Shane's relationship more. Where they go after the camp I won't say in case you don't know, because I'm pretty sure they'll go there in Season 2. Sorry for the late reply. Busy week. CDC isn’t in the comic at all.
