In a back alley, he sucks the bartender’s blood, but glamours him so he doesn’t remember anything…well, except the vitamin supplements Bill suggests he take to replenish his blood. So thoughtful, don’t you think? Nan Flanagan shows up in shoulder pads saying she’s been watching him for weeks and noticed that he doesn’t kill his prey. Bill explains that his snack food doesn’t deserve to die just because they’re tasty. Nan tries to recruit him to a group of vamps who that think mainstreaming might not be a pipe dream. It seems a group of vampire scientists, including Louis Pasteur, are trying to come up with a way to make synthetic blood. She asks him to help infiltrate the monarchy to help sow seeds of discord within. Ah, now we know what this is all about!
At Merlotte’s, Sookie tries to apologize to Sam for making him worry, when Arlene and Terry come in with their Barbie-destroying baby. Arlene freaks out, hoping that Sookie isn’t reading her mind. She protests that she loves the baby and runs out of the room crying.
Over in Hotshot, Andy is trying to get V out of the residents. He tries flashing an obviously doctored warrant, but Felton notices his hands shaking. He realizes Andy is an addict just like him and sends a super creepy uncle/daddy/brother or something out to give him some. Crystal, hopped up on V keeps Jason quiet while this is happening.
Back at Merlotte’s, Luna shows up in Sam’s office, saying she really wants to let him in…in more ways than one. There’s some kissing…and some more in front of everyone at the diner. Tommy looks jealous. Anyone else want to slap him?
In the kitchen, Arlene is freaking the hell out while looking at her baby. And that baby may be the cutest thing ever! Not an evil bone in his body…or is there? Arlene bursts a blood vessel in her eye just looking at him and tells him he’s rotten just like his daddy.
Terry (can I get an ”aww”) tells the little guy that he is his daddy and he’s not rotten. He explains that they just have to love his crazy momma that much more.
At Sookie’s, Tara shows up to reconnect. (Sookie sees demon fairies when she appears. I wonder why that is.)
When they get inside, Sookie sees a brand new microwave from Eric. Just what every girl wants. Kitchen appliances. When she sees a bottle on True Blood in the fridge (which is why I assume she has a new microwave…no one likes cold blood), she calls him ”psychopathic frat boy” and pours it down the sink. But that’s not the only change to her house. Eric has built himself a cubby! I think this is called stalking in some circles, no?
All is not well over at Hoyt and Jessica’s. She tries to give him blood to drink to help with all his injuries. Hoyt says he doesn’t need that shit. Jess isn’t too happy about that and leaves, supposedly to get him Advil, while in the woods, Tara heads out with Lafayette and Jesus to a ”wiccan thang.” It’s revealed that they know all about and approve of her lady back in New Orleans.
At Castle Bill, Eric is warned that he needs to take care of the witch coven. If they can control the dead, they can control vampires…but with what happens at the end of the episode, one has to wonder if Bill sent Eric there because of an ulterior motive…to protect Sookie. We see a flashback of the battle between Queen Sophie and Bill, and ultimately, her demise. It’s a gooey one.
