There’s also quite a difference in the caliber of acting ability between HBO shows Game of Thrones and True Blood which may have left a person a bit spoiled, but booo non the less.

I thought it was a crappy 1st episode, it felt like they hired the writers from the O.C. and should have been aired on a B level space channel after the reruns of star trek deep space nine.

Nice recap. I’m still processing the first show this season. The twist in fairyland – I didn’t see coming. It seemed like a great deal of information for this ‘story’ to be done. I really think they should have kept Grand Daddy alive- would have been interesting to see him adapt to life today.

I can’t STAND Jason as a cop. It just doesn’t ‘fly’ with who he is. The Tara story as “Now with 100% more Lesbian Bi-Products’ seems rather titillating and gratuitous. I’m of the camp that being gay is biological in nature so I don’t appreciate characters who switch it on and off like a clothing accessory.

Sam- well, I sure miss old Sam. I like him best Season 1. He just gets crabbier and crabbier and to love a character, you have to identify with them on some level. I’m tired of him being such a sourpuss. What a great gift you have Sambone- use it for good and stop the introspection. BORING.

I hate Andy. Always have. Always will. He’s just a dick.

I had the rape turns women gay thing. So cliche. I liked her foul mouth and attitude in Season one, once they tried to expand on her I think they lost what made her useful.

I take Trueblood for what is worth. Sex & Violence. So, the Tara drama is …. too dramatic. I’m thinking this show will be in the LOST format of flash backs to find out how everyone got where they were…

Ah, are you in the Tara-hating group too? I’ve never liked her. I think this is the first time I’ve found her appealing in any way. She seemed like a person and not a cartoon for once.

I agree about too many directions. Still, I’ve seen the next two episodes and they’re pretty fantastic. I think the show made a mistake starting the way that it did. The first 8 minutes were panned across the board.

Personally, I feel the show is going too many directions. I would guess they all will collide, but think about it… just a little too much. Tara could disapear, & I wouldnt blink an eye.

This is the author. I’m curious what you guys think about Tara’s story line. Anyone angry about the trauma with guys=gay thing? Do you think it’s circumstantial? Do you like/hate the explanation that the people behind the show are giving out…that she is changing her life and this is only one of the changes? I’m really curious about reader sentiment here.

Totally team Eric. What is with Tara and the extreme fighting and her new name and girlfriend? Why did Jason think he could trust anyone in Panther town? Sam’s anger management group made me laugh. Hoyt and Jessica have lost that honeymoon phase and that made me a little sad ’cause I had been rooting for them. The one thing that really upset me was Bill as the new King of Louisiana. Really?
