Then, of course, there’s poor Hank. Although he is making great strides in his physical therapy, his disability is taking a heavy toll on both his mental health and his marriage. Just as Jesse is buying useless electronics in order to take his mind off reality, Hank has thrown himself completely into his geode collection, and is pushing Marie away at every turn.
Unlike Mike, who is content to self-destruct alone, Jesse is of the mindset that misery loves company. He lures his friends Skinny Pete and Badger over to his home and manages to tempt them away from sobriety. Soon, their get-together becomes a full-fledged party.
In the aftermath, the house is trashed. But Jesse can’t bear the thought of being alone, and instructs his friends to buy more food and alcohol so that the party is still going when he returns from work.
