i just wish they would have ended with the battlestar coming into view passing the moon and approaching the earth. Let us (the fans) decide on our own ending, rather than try to tie all the loose ends up. It would have allowed others later on to continue the show with another cast later on like star trek. For me the last hour doesnt exist.

I’m about a year late, but I just finished watching the show on Netflix. If I read ya correctly, I felt the same way about the show. It was so easy to get into the situation and the characters that it’s almost painful when it ends. I too would have liked the last shot to be anything other than 2009, bums, and toy robots, but whatever. You already have to suspend disbelief anyway, so just keep on suspending.
