Sometimes I wonder if America is running out of ideas when most of our new shows and movies are either 1) stolen from comic books, or 2) stolen from the British.  Sorry, the correct word is “adapted.” Just like I adapted that Lexus the other night that was parked on Sunset with the keys in the door. Anyway, ABC’s Life on Mars is one of many forthcoming shows to fit this category.  Following the life of a cop (Jason O’Mara) from the present day who has traveled back to the 70’s, it’s a procedural police drama crossed with science fiction.  David E. Kelly had a hand in crafting the pilot. Airs in the 2008 Fall Season.
