There are a lot of reality shows out there, but this one actually makes a little sense. Contestants from all across the globe bring their stand-up chops in front of judges from other NBC properties and then, in the grand tradition, America votes. The comics tend to be pretty funny, but they sprinkle in a bunch of wacky gimmick acts, I feel like they could do without. But, it works for America’s Got Talent, so why argue with success. The winners haven’t exactly become superstars, but I guess we haven’t heard much from Ruben Studdard lately, either.
